Job Site Safety Checklists

Pre-Job Site Safety Check

  • Verify all PPE is on hand and in good condition
  • Inspect tools and equipment before use
  • Identify utility lines and call 811 before any digging
  • Review job site hazards with crew before starting
  • Confirm first aid kit is accessible on site

Aerial Lift / Bucket Truck Safety

  • Inspect lift for damage, leaks, and proper fluid levels
  • Confirm ground is level and stable before raising
  • Wear full harness and lanyard at all times in the bucket
  • Maintain safe distance from energized lines
  • Never exceed rated load capacity

Electrical Safety

  • Lock out / tag out before working on any energized system
  • Test circuits with a meter before touching
  • Use insulated tools rated for the voltage present
  • Never work alone on energized equipment
  • Report any exposed wiring or damaged conduit immediately
